Family Remixed is excited to share that our founder, Liz Dobson was selected by the National Council for Adoption, to speak at their national conference in St. Louis.
Dobson will have the opportunity to train adoption professionals with strategies they can use to educate & help interracial-adoption families cultivate positive racial identities in their children. Dobson says, “this is a critically important topic because recently, about 40 percent of adoptions were reported as transracial. Parents have to not only be aware of the level of intentionality required when raising a child of a different race; but they need the tools and the confidence to do it, as well.”
The National Adoption Conference is the premiere education and training event for adoption professionals and will take place in St. Louis, MO in June.
